Open fiber, € 3.4 billion for the development of networks in northern Italy

Open Fiber operations continues with important numbers
the spread of FTTH fiber in northern Italy. The private operator has on
investment table for 3.4 billion euros to ensure coverage as much

As for the development of white areas, a
market failure, 500 yards have opened thanks to which fiber
will arrive in the most isolated places in Italy.

There will be 5.5 million housing units in total
involved in this development phase in all 8 northern regions.
These also include the municipality of Rhemes-Notre-Dame, in the Aosta Valley, which with its
about 90 inhabitants is the smallest town included in the Open Fiber project.

In the meantime, in collaboration with Vodafone, has been launched –
for the first time simultaneously – the experimentation of the links in
fiber in the municipalities of Fino Mornasco (CO), Campagnano di Roma (RM), Anguillara
(RM) and S. Giovanni La Punta (CT), which fall right within the
interventions in white areas with which to reduce the digital divide and allow
